For anyone unaware, the sun awning fits both 320 and 400 T@bs although if you have a 320 version you will need a set of extended 'feet' poles from Isabella at their extortionate prices or . . . . you could make your own.

After a couple of PM's to Bjornte to get measurements I have started my conversion

Tools needed
Hacksaw or Tube Cutter (I used a tube cutter as I had one)

Materials Needed
1 metre of 19mm Outside Diameter alloy tubing (£5.00 ebay)

How to
Get the 2 original feet tubes from your sun canopy and cut 2 new pieces from your 19mm tube
1 x 12.5" long
1 x 20.5" long
(shown below)


Tube cutter gives a neater, straight cut


Using any suitable tool (I used an allen key) depress the button on one of the short feet poles and prise the button & spring from the open end. (as shown in 2 pics below)


Next, drill an appropriate sized hole in the 2 new poles you have cut
(Use the old pole as a guide for position)


Insert the spring button into the new pole (make sure you align the button with the hole you drilled)


You should then end up with this


and a view from the end


You should now have 2 new longer poles with spring buttons installed

We have just returned from our first holiday of the year in our T@B.



A weeks paddling in wet and windy Norfolk, it looks fine in these pictures but what you cannot see is the puddle just out side the awning everytime it rained.




The campsite we stayed on is fantastic, it's called Willowcroft, not far from Potter Heigham, well worth a visit if you are down that way.

We have had the awning for a year now and still don't think we have mastered the art of how to peg the inside so that we don't have escapee dogs and that it look right?? Is there an art to how the corners are folded and then pegged?? We are going thru no end of pegs and tried them all, have just brought some metal screw type ones from The Range, but my partner puts millions in and then the heads break when he tries to get them out? Any tips photos etc on what we might be doing wrong??? . Thank you]]>

New Propex blown air gas heater installed under rear seat. Used only once for about half an hour.
Upholstered stool for porta potti.
Stored in barn, whilst we've had it.

We are currently looking to downsize from a 26' caravan to something (very much) smaller and a Tab would be ideal. We are based in South Yorkshire and all the dealers seem to be way down south so we have not actually seen any yet!!!
